Global Fitness club donates waste bins to school in Tema

Global Fitness club has donated twelve wastebins to the Tema West M/A Basic school as part of their efforts to give back to society.

The donation was aimed at enhancing the national sanitation campaign and promoting environmental cleanliness.

Handing over the items, the club's operations manager Iddris Suraj, disclosed that the group will embark on other important projects in the school.

He stated that the donation was to support the government's initiative on a national sanitation awareness day.


He said the commitment to contribute to the environment sustainably through several actions, the exercise is not just about the donation but to help imbibe in students' positive actions and their relevance in environmental sustainability for their benefit and future generations.

He disclosed that they still need to contribute to shaping them into what they have become in society and therefore they see it as a duty to give back to school in the constituency.

The club also educated students on waste management, segregation, and hygiene to help them stay safe while contributing to help protect the environment by nurturing the trees and disposing of waste properly.

Airbus scandal: Police statement on Interpol Red Alert was needless as Amidu unearths forgeries

The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has described as needless the statement by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) that his office' request triggered the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) to issue a warrant for the arrest of Samuel Adam Fosters, also known as Samuel Adam Mahama in relation to the Airbus bribery scandal. He explained that his office built a good case warranting the Interpol red notices. The CID said it facilitated the request for the Office of the Special Prosecutor with the Interpol General Secretariat to get other security agencies to help arrest the four persons described as "fugitives". Voters registration: Over 11 million Ghanaians registered - EC

The Electoral Commission has revealed that more than eleven million Ghanaians have registered for the voters' ID card as of Friday, July 24, 2020. This indicates that the first four phases of the registration exercise have so far seen a total of 11,629,480 – eleven million six hundred and twenty-nine thousand four hundred and eight persons have registered and received their voters' ID.
