2020 NSMQ: PRESEC humiliates OWASS and ADISCO in a dramatic contest to win 6th title

The contestants of the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon in 2020 in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) have won the competition after thrilling performances.

Three schools were featured in the grand finale on Thursday, October 8, 2020. 

The contest which was between an-all-boys school featured Opoku Ware Senior High School (OWASS), Adisadel College, and the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon. 

PRESEC-Legon outperformed their opponents in the contest with a 36 point lead, followed by ADISCO scoring 31 points and with OWASS coming in last with 21 points.


Presbyterian Boys SHS, five-time winners of the NSMQ in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2008, and 2009 were on the quest for their 6th trophy and have finally grabbed the golden opportunity.

Voters registration: Over 11 million Ghanaians registered - EC

The Electoral Commission has revealed that more than eleven million Ghanaians have registered for the voters' ID card as of Friday, July 24, 2020. This indicates that the first four phases of the registration exercise have so far seen a total of 11,629,480 – eleven million six hundred and twenty-nine thousand four hundred and eight persons have registered and received their voters' ID.
